The below are requirements for registering for an A2P campaign:
Business Name
– The form should clearly display the name of the business that will be sending the SMS messages.
Phone Number Field
– The form may include a field to collect the user’s mobile phone number. The phone number field should not be required if SMS consent is optional.
SMS Consent Checkbox
– Include a checkbox that requires users to explicitly agree to receive SMS messages. The checkbox must not be pre-checked and must require the user to manually select it.
Description of Messages
– Clearly state the types of messages users may receive (for example: appointment reminders, case updates, service notifications, or customer support responses).
Message Frequency Disclosure
– Indicate how often users may receive messages (for example: “Message frequency may vary.”).
Message and Data Rates Disclosure
– Include a statement such as: “Message and data rates may apply.”
Opt-Out Instructions
– Inform users they can stop messages at any time (for example: “Reply STOP to opt out.”).
Help Instructions
– Provide instructions for getting assistance (for example: “Reply HELP for assistance.”).
Privacy Policy Link
– The form or page must link to the business’s Privacy Policy.
